Tasting Notes

This Sekitoba shochu is handmade by Hamada Shuzo since the Meiji era. It is made from fresh purple sweet potato and malted rice, which creates a special flowery aroma and sweet, full fruit flavour

Japanese Shochu ( 焼酎) is a Japanese distilled beverage. It is typically distilled from rice (kome), barley (mugi), sweet potatoes (satsuma-imo), buckwheat (soba), or brown sugar (kokutō), though it is sometimes produced from other ingredients such as chestnut, sesame seeds, potatoes or even carrots.
